Helen Boast

Helen graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2008, and after a short stint in mixed practice in Lincolnshire she joined the large animal team at Westover Vets where she stayed for 7 years.  Wrestling with the cows and horses of Norfolk took its toll and after too many broken bones, Helen decided that small animal practice was a much better fit for her!  She joined the team at Caister in February 2018 and already feels like part of the furniture.  Helen enjoys all aspects of small animal practice and has a keen interest in lameness, in particular the treatment of arthritis in pets.  She uses the knowledge gained from equine practice to utilise more advanced therapies for managing this condition.
At home, Helen is married and has a son, she also has two dogs ‘Wiggle’ a border terrier and ‘Dave’ a fox red labrador who can often be spotted around the practice, she also has a small flock of chickens.
